Terms & Privacy

Using the site
vizz.fm is free for personal and commercial use: streams, live shows, recorded video, parties, whatever you are making. No credit is required, though it is appreciated.
The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use. You are responsible for having the rights to any audio you play through it and to anything you publish.
Ownership
The vizz.fm name, site, design, visualizers, shaders, presets and code are copyright © 2026 Mathew Preziotte. All rights reserved. vizz.fm is not open source.
Without written permission, you may not copy, download, rehost, scrape, redistribute or reverse engineer the site or its code, or use either to build a derivative or competing product. This includes embedding the app or its JavaScript on another site.
Recording, screenshotting and exporting what you see is encouraged. The presets and videos you make are yours.
Your audio
Everything vizz.fm does with sound happens inside your browser, whether the source is your microphone, a shared screen or tab, a local file, or a virtual audio device. Your audio is never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.
The app makes two kinds of outbound request: submitting a form you fill in and, when you play a SoundCloud link, resolving that link as described below.
SoundCloud playback
When you paste a SoundCloud link, the link is sent to a small server we run, which looks the track up through the SoundCloud API. The audio then streams from SoundCloud's servers directly to your browser and is never stored by us. SoundCloud's own privacy policy applies to that stream.
Playback credits the uploader and links back to the track, as SoundCloud's API terms require.
What we collect
There are no accounts. Your presets and preferences live in your browser's local storage and never leave it unless you submit them.
If you sign up for updates or send feedback, we store the email address and message you give us. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, and we will delete your data on request.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, visualizers chosen, rough location, device type) and Sentry to catch errors. No audio reaches either service. We do not sell data.
Third-party links
The site links to other sites and services. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Questions, permission requests and deletion requests go to mat.preziotte@gmail.com.
